Broderick Crawford was a no-nonsense cop and the show taught some morals, and respect for the law. So did Dragnet. A lot of shows in the 50's and 60's talk respect, responsibility, and moral character. Which is more than I can say for a lot of shows today. Why don't they just disband the FCC???
